Following last year’s highly successful 170 mile charity bike ride from London to Paris, CIL’s Martin Bean and Sam Heslop decided to go one better. They left Trafalgar Square in London at 2pm and cycled 250 miles through the night, to arrive at the Arc de Triomphe in Paris 23 hours and 25 minutes. They were able to raise £800 for MacMillan Cancer Support. Alex Marshall, who completed the event last year, had very recently become a father and was unable to join the team for the entire trip. However, he was an enthusiastic supporter cycling with the team as far as Dover.
