Our graduate recruitment process is rigorous. It is designed to identify not what you currently know so much as your abilities and your capacity to learn. We don't expect candidates to know everything about business and those that profess expertise in any commercial area can expect some searching questions!

Online testing: We will use online competence tests to evaluate your numerical and verbal reasoning skills. We will take measures to ensure that fraudulent tests are excluded - it should also be self evident that if you can't pass the test yourself you're not likely to enjoy or last long in the job!

Mentoring: If you pass the CV screen and online tests, you will be assigned a mentor. This will be a CIL analyst who has recently joined the company. Their job is to explain the recruitment process to you and help you learn more about the job so that you can make an informed decision about your potential career at CIL. They are not there to evaluate you - that's what the tests and interviews are for.

Round one interviews: You will be interviewed at our London offices. This interview is led by a CIL analyst, and is designed to evaluate your technical capabilities and potential. We will further test your writing and numeracy skills, and you will be asked to work through a technical case study (there are a number of websites that can help you with practice tests - here's just one example). This session will take about two hours.

Round two and three interviews: You may be interviewed in either office, irrespective of your office preference. These interviews are less structured and are designed for CIL to evaluate how well you are likely to fit in with the existing team - and for you to evaluate CIL as a future employer. These rounds may involve further technical tests. Over the course of rounds two and three you will meet most of the CIL management team.

We wish you the best of luck in your application. If you have any questions about this process, please email us on careers@ciluk.com
